The past few days have been interesting, i got a new camera, had 2 practise SACs (school assessed coursework) and hade my 3rd calculator got missing.
The camera I got is a FujiFilm s6500. The camera has been really good so far and gives very nice quality pics. Also today I found that my calculator is missing again so after school I went to cash converters and got a new second hand one. Now hopefully this one doesn’t get stolen or something along those lines.

Today was my final unit 3&4 exam. I had music industry and I think that I did all right but there were a few questions that I got wrong and there was a question that they must have pulled out of someone’s ass. ‘What is RT60?’ nobody in our class knew that answer it stands for Reverb Time and the 60 is the amount of dB.
After the exam I went and got my vest and tomorrow I’ll go and get the words ‘Tech Crew’ written in the back in gold.
After the exam I went to Castlefield to do sound for their concert. I got there and they had hired this equipment from nova and it was all working and fine. Then all the kids started doing their performances and because it was out doors it was hard to get a good level where everybody could hear. I was always being told by parents “can you turn it up?” it also isn’t easy doing sound from behind the performers, I had no idea what it sounded like out the front. Also the sound was really distorted and know one could figure out why, not even the Australian Idol guy’s Rodie and for some reason Nova set it up so that the sound would go through a mixer and then through another powered mixer, that’s just pointless why not just use an amplifier?
And finally I think it is unfair that people bitch about me being Drama Captain with out knowing all the work that I have done for the drama department. There have been those who have been really nice about it then there are those who say to me ‘congratulations’, shake my hand and leave who then go and bitch about me behind my back. I hate them most of all because why would you come and shake my hand and tell me well done and then go and bitch about me, why not confront me in the first place! Anyway if someone can prove me wrong with the amount of work I have done for the Drama department compared to other people who are apart of the drama department then they can bitch about me all they want and I won’t care, very much.

Today was a pretty boring day until after English. I was in my last class for the day and I get a call from Matt, which was annoying because it was vibrating in my pocket while I was trying to learn, well sort of learning. Then after the class I check my messages and it says “hey Luke just calling to tell you, you got drama captain…..” and then as I was walking to check the bord, Toby comes and shakes my hand and says congratulations and 2 minutes ago I got a call from Big Al saying congratulations! I am also the second Techie to be drama captain as far as i know. There have however been a few Techie vice captains.
Today I had my 3/4 IT exam. Over all I was happy with how went. There were still a few areas that I wasn’t sure about and there were a couple of questions that I defiantly got wrong but o well as long as I get above 25 out of 50 I’ll be happy because that means that I would have beaten my brothers lowest score.
Also after my exam I was in the hall with James, Al, Matt and a few other people and we were moving lights. James was up in the roof unrigging the equipment, he was about to lower the light when this other light comes crashing to the ground. It makes this massive dint in the side of the Par Can, then 20 seconds later Belly walks in. He doesn’t suspect a thing as far as we know which is good and its going to stay that way. Amazingly the Par Can still worked after the fall. So now I’ve almost seen everything in that hall.
Last night I went to see the 5th last show of the Lano and Woodley Good Bye Tour. It was a fantastic show! I actually saw the show when the tour had started and liked it that much that I wanted to go and see it again. It was good to be able to see it at the start and then at the end of the tour because I got to see some of the changes that they have made to the show. There were a few things added but not allot, but there were a few tings that was different which they had to improvise with e.g when the little kid walked on stage during the audience participation, and the fact that they found a hole in the stage and almost fell through it. What happened was Lano stepped on the area and the floor broke. They had also added in some new songs which they made up about the Melbourne Cup which they hadn’t rehearsed properly.
Overall it was a great show.
