Today and Yesterday

Yesterday was my last day of work experience and it wasn’t as good as yesterday but I still had a good time but I would have rather been at school hanging lights but there will always be more chances to hang lights. Anyway way it was still a good day. I got payed $40 for the 2 days work.

Also today was a good day (except for the morning). The only bad part was when I showed up at school to find that it was a correction day. I only waisted about ½ hour of the day with that little experience. then I spent the rest of the day at Southland and Chris’s. I also made $20 by selling my crappy symbols form my drum kit and selling a pair of drum sticks. I don’t feal as though I got ripped off but there is probably someone out there who would pay more for them. But the cymbals were really dodgy.

Work experience again

I have just finished my first day of my block 2 work experience. i am working at a book store that mainly supplies school books so it was a very relaxing place to work. Much better than my first work experience placement. Today they had me get the stationary ready for one of the schools on the area which was rather easy, then I had to print of some signs and then laminate them and attach them to a stand so that people knew where they could put there books, then I got to do some work on the computer which was really easy. All I had to do was type in a number and then see if anyone had ordered it and then out it in 2 piles, ones that have been ordered and ones that haven’t. Then to finish the day I swept the floor. I had a very relaxing day today and I hope that it will be simular tomorrow.

Over the past week….

Over the past week a lot has happened. I finished my exams, I had to get another work experience placement after my last one cancelled so I had 1 week to find a new place to go, then there was more fun things. I bought 2 new speakers for the car, which I will get to drive when I’m 18 (there like mini doof doofs), and then my Dad brought home a heap of stuff from a friends house in Canberra. He bright home and apple classic II, a Hi-Fi which isn’t that good but it’s alright, a Pentium 3 computer which replaced or Pentium 2, a zip drive, a heap of software that we have no use for, 2 TV’s and an air conditioner. Also we set up our xmas tree.

Australian phoenix

Today I had our theatre studies assessment where we had to put on a performance. The play was called Australian phoenix, and it had many different scenes for different Australian plays. As usual I knew all my lines before I went on stage but when I had to actually perform I forgot a few, it wasn’t to bad it was only 2 lines and then I was fine for the rest of the play, also the other actors skipped some of there line which then mend I didn’t have to say some of my lines.

MACing It Up

I haven’t had much to say lately but finale here is something worth posting about. I have finale got an Apple Mac G4 power book. (I actually got it about a week ago and have almost got everything they way I want it). I still don’t have a full version of office (yes that’s right there is Microsoft office for Mac’s). I am using the 30 day trial because I can’t afford it at he moment. So far I am really happy with it an was surprised that it didn’t require much effort converting my files from Windows to Macintosh. There are still a few annoying things which I still can’t solve but its only a few video files that I rarely watch anyway. Anyway to those who don’t like Apple Mac computers (I mean the ones who have never used a Mac in their life and refuse to try them even for 5 seconds, James this does not mean you) You don’t know what you are saying and should therefore not be going around saying how bad they are, give them a chance.
