Year 12/Staff Review

Today was the annual year 12 and staff review, which is a show that is put on to show the highlights of the year and any other stuff the year 12’s want to show and to have the staff members dress up and do a dance. This year two of the teachers and the Principal were dancing as cross dressers. But the most interesting part of the performance was when the power amps ‘blew up’. What happened was during one of the staff dances one of the power amps stopped working then about 30 seconds later the other one stopped as well so there was no sound at all which then caused the entire school to turn around and yell at the Bio-Box when it wasn’t any of ours fault. So we had people running around to try and get a temporary P.A. setup other than that the performance was alright but not the best thing I’ve seen.

Foxtel is Here

Well here’s just a short one but foxtel digital came today and one of the best things about it is the +2 channels which have the shows on two hours later so if you miss your program you can watch it later.

Good News Everyone!

Today has been a really sweet day and it’s only 11:46 AM. While I was at southland with my Dad we decided to look at laptops and we eventually decided to get an Apple Power Book (but we have to wait a few days before we can go and buy it). Then as we were on our way out we stopped off at one of those temporary shops in the middle of the path and signed up for foxtel digital (my brother says its too complicated to use but he just hasn’t got my skill)

First Week Back

Well the first week of term is over and it has been a pretty average week but there have still been interesting things happening. On the very first day back of the term we were all give a stupid new time table. The some happy news. When I was in my music industry class I was told that I was getting Music colours (which I can add to my Drama colours I got at the end of last term). I was surprised about getting music colours because I’m not very good at playing drums then I was told it was because of my work in music industry and helping out with the musical. Anyway before I had gotten my award I was told by AB and Chris that a certain some one who shall remain nameless is pissed off with me because I got colours and he didn’t. It doesn’t matter thou I don’t really like him anyway.

Anyway moving away from colours I then spent a few lunch times helping set up a temporary audio setup after one of the amplifiers blew. We had to pull a lot of wires out of the wall which was all right because we rarely used them anyway and they are also buying a new audio system for the hall next year. It sounds like its going pretty good but there are some things that I don’t like the sound of such as speakers hanging from the roof right in the center (if u have seen it in the hall u know it doesn’t look that good). The speakers that are hanging from the roof in the hall now are fine because they are average size and are on the left and right side’s of the stage but a few big ones all grouped together in the one spot will look stupid. And with the new system that they are installing they are going to make it so that all the house lights, the projector and the audio can be operated from the lectern which will be cool but if they keep going like this they will have no need for someone to be in the Bio Box during assemblies although only a few people will be smart enough to be able to use it so I’ll still be useful.
