Little Shop of Horrors

Our school musical this year is ‘Little shop of Horrors’ and this weekend I went to school and began hanging the lights for the little shop of horrors. So far all we have done is put in the moving lights which are really cool, they make all of these colors and spin but they weigh a lot which is a real bitch but I’ll get over it. I also did a lot of set painting and adding the final things to the set. This was less because I stuffed up one of the boxes I was making because I was a few centimeters out bo I had to start again.

Tickle Tests

While reading another person’s web site they gave the results of a test that they had done on the internet about coffee and what sort of coffee person you are. Here are my results:

Relax, everything’s cool, man. Coffee may be a stimulant, but your drinking style couldn’t be more laid back. The way you drink coffee reveals that you take things as they come. You might prefer a routine, but you can be flexible. Your coffee is the most unassuming brew around. No pretense here. Some people might call you the standard cup. The regular Joe. The real deal. Your coffee style reveals you to be honest, sincere, and oh so calm. You keep your cool in a crisis situation, and aren’t easily flustered. You most likely approach life with an open mind and a happy-go-lucky attitude.

Term 3 Begins

Today I was the first day back at school. Because all of year 10 had just finished work experience every one was asking people if they had fun and how much they got paid. It was nice to know that I wasn’t the only one who didn’t have a good time but there were those who had a great time and who got paid more money. Some people got around $30 and another person got $500 but gave it back because they were from a family member, which is nice to know that not every one is greedy.

Anyway other than that there wasn’t much else exiting going on.

Work experience 2

Today was the final day for my block 1 work experience. The day started out the same as yesterday. I went around all the shelves and made sure all the games and software were tidy, then there was some wandering around, then I was asked to organize all the computer mice and keyboards, after that was finished it was lunchtime. I had a better lunch today than I did yesterday because I found if you walk further you find a Safeway. After lunch there was nothing to do so I wandered around some more then I got really bored of that so I decided to hide behind one of the shelves and sit in a nice comfy couch and watch the TV they had on the wall.

I spent from about 1:30-4:30 watching TV. This was the highlight of the day. No won even noticed I wasn’t doing anything and I doubt they noticed the fact that they couldn’t see me.

Anyway at about 4:45 I decided it was time to grab my hard earned pay of $10 (cash) and to get someone to fill out those stupid formers.

All in all this was a good day compared to yesterday but it was still boring.

At least o got to sit down.

Work experiance 1

Today I started my work experience. The first thing I was told to do was to go around all the shelves and straiten up all the games and stuff so it looked neat, then I wandered around a bit looking for something to do, then I was told to sort out about 200 printer cartridges and put them on the shelve in the correct spot, after that I did some vacuuming, then there was more wandering around and by this time they had run out of things for me to do so they got me to organize the blank CD’s so that all the TDK, Sony, and BenQ stuff was all together, then some more wandering so I decided to have lunch. For lunch I had an ice coffee. After lunch I was asked to organize the external CD and floppy disk drives, after that task was complete I cleaned the glass cabinets with the cameras in them. (The Windex was starting to make me dizzy), next I stoked some shelves and finally there was some more wandering. So basically I got all the jobs that no one else wanted! Well worth the five bucks that I get a day don’t you think. Also they were constantly playing an add for that stupid singstar thing on Playstation 2 and the same song kept on being used over and over and over and over and over and over and over….. and I didn’t get to sit down but I could have sat down if there were any where to sit. At least every one was nice to me and it wasn’t there fault that I got stuck with this stuff because there was nothing else I was aloud to do.

I wonder what I will get to do tomorrow.
